Jakson Engineers Delivers 100 MW Solar Modules to GIPCL, Boosting India’s Renewable Energy Ambitions

Gujarat, India – February 24, 2025

Jakson Solar has successfully supplied 100 MW of solar PV modules to Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) for its 2,375 MW Renewable Energy Park near Khavda in Gujarat. This marks an important step in India’s clean energy mission, helping GIPCL reduce carbon emissions and helps to foster long-term energy security.

Jakson Engineers Ltd. was the first company to complete its contract capacity, delivering over 1,90,000 high-efficiency PERC bifacial solar panels under its Helia Plus series. The high-quality solar modules were manufactured at the state-of-the-art, fully automated Solar Modules manufacturing plant at Greater Noida.

In addition to this achievement, Jakson Engineers Ltd. recently announced plans to invest approximately ₹2,000 crore ($215.9 million) to set up a cutting-edge 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility.

The company is also working on expanding its solar module manufacturing capacity from 1.2 GW to 2 GW. The initiative will help increase India’s domestic solar manufacturing capabilities to support in India’s Green Energy Mission.
